Privacy - stuff you'd probably want to know

Lifeline Language Services will never share with, nor sell or hire out to, any third party any individual personal information provided to us without the owner's prior permission or unless ordered to do so by a court of law. Information you provide to us is held within secure premises and is available only to our employees or, where required by the assignment, to the necessary partners.

"Partners" refers simply to service providers who are not direct employees of ours. Where you ask us, for example, to translate a document we may need to use one or more such partner(s). Any partner used will be professionally registered and will adhere to professional standards of data confidentiality, enforced by a legally-binding confidentiality agreement between them and ourselves. That means we trust them just the same as we would trust our own in-house team.

Cookies (not choc-chip, sadly)

Wikipedia describes a cookie, also known as an HTTP cookie, web cookie, or browser cookie, as "usually a small piece of data sent from a website and stored in a user's web browser while a user is browsing a website." There's lots more information on the Wikipedia page and if you'd like to know more that's a great place to look.
Should you be concerned?
Probably not. Like almost every website, this one uses cookies to improve performance and your browsing experience. Cookies cannot carry viruses or malware. However, they may retain a record of your activity on this site to let us compile aggregate anonymous data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future.
However, if you are concerned you can set warnings or turn off cookies in your browser; please see your browser's Help for how to do this. Doing so may however affect site performance and depending on your browser may prevent some features from working properly. If you find this presents a problem for you on this site you can of course call us instead, and all our phone conversations are guaranteed 100% cookie-free (unless you call at coffee time, where a munching noise may indicate a choc-chip one to be in active use).

If you have deactivated cookies in your browser and find some features of this site are not working properly, please feel free to call our friendly helpful team instead on UK Freefone 0800 783 4678 (Intnl 0044 1772 558858)
